This weekend, we’re reviving the games, songs, and stories our grandparents grew up with—think hopscotch, hand rhymes, retro beats, and timeless tales—reimagined for today’s kids. A morning of play, laughter, and memories together.
What You’ll Experience
📖 “When We Were Kids…” Storytime
A quick, lively read-aloud from Tenali Raman with playful prompts. Grandparents add their own “when we were kids…” moments—kids listen, laugh, and join in.
🎯 The Great Game-Off
The classics, reimagined: soft pitthoo (seven stones), floor snakes & ladders, hopscotch lanes, and lagori with cloth balls. Grandparents teach the tricks; little ones remix the rules.
🌸 Courtyard Colour Crew (Rangoli + Toran Studio)
Fill a giant floral rangoli with marigold petals, coloured rice, green leaves, and lentils. Then craft bright torans together to frame the space—hello, stunning photos.
🎵 Retro Beats & Family Feets
Sing and sway to golden favourites—Lakdi Ki Kathi, Nani Teri Morni, and more. Easy clap-along rhythms, ribbon twirls, and “show us your moves, Grandma/Grandpa!”
💎 Keepsake Corner: Love in a Loop
Thread chunky beads and a tiny tassel into a keychain/bracelet—a simple, sweet souvenir made together.
